How does session time work and how much time should I schedule?Your session time starts at the reserved time and ends at the scheduled time. To ensure everything goes smoothly, a thorough setup is essential and takes some time. When your session begins, the engineer will start by preparing the room: arranging gear and players for optimal sound, positioning microphones, laying cables, and setting up your session files in Pro Tools. Once everything sounds great, we’ll start recording. The time needed to set up and record your songs can vary depending on the size of your band, your level of preparedness, and the number of songs you want to record. To make sure we have enough time for everything, please discuss your needs with the engineer before your session. This way, we can schedule enough time for loading in, setting up, recording, backing up/exporting session files, and breaking down your equipment. We want your session to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible, so efficient time management is key.
-
Is mixing included? The booked time is at your disposal for any purpose you choose. Mixing is included in the hourly rate if time remains at the end of the recording session after all recording tasks are finished. However, please note that mixing can be time-consuming and varies based on your project's complexity. Therefore, it's recommended to schedule separate mixing sessions.

It's advisable to allocate time for data transfer towards the end of your session, which will be included in your booked time. Additionally, we can also send you the MP3 files via email or share them with you through platforms like Dropbox or WeTransfer.
-
Can I bring my friends to watch?Yes, you're welcome to have guests at your sessions. However, we kindly request that all guests adhere to proper studio etiquette. From our experience, an excessive number of non-participating individuals can hinder the session's progress.

Do you charge for stems or multis? To export and collect your instrument stems, you must schedule time with the studio. Consult your engineer to estimate the duration required, depending on your project's scale. For a single song, this process may take 5-10 minutes towards the end of your final session. However, for larger projects, it could extend to a couple of hours or more.
